Getting started with piano lessons
Read our guides to starting piano as an adult, choosing lessons for your child and learning in English or Cantonese.
Before your first lesson
Can adults and complete beginners enrol?
Yes. Lessons are available for children and adults, including beginners and people returning to piano.
Do I need a piano at home?
Tell Flora what instrument you have access to. She can discuss a practical setup for lessons and practice before you begin.
What if I learn differently?
Let Flora know what helps you learn. Lessons can be adapted around interests, pace and support needs. Supported music lessons focus on musical learning; music therapy has separate therapeutic goals.
Do you offer exam preparation?
Music theory support can include exam preparation, and accompaniment is available for instrumental exams and performances. Discuss your instrument, exam requirements and timeframe with Flora.
